Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Oil Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting and delivering home heating fuel safely and efficiently using a tanker truck. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage routes effectively. As an Oil Delivery Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all regulations and company policies.

Duties

• Operate tanker trucks to transport #2 Home Heating Fuel to designated locations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including route information and fuel details.
• Navigate assigned routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery status and any issues encountered.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations related to transporting hazardous materials when applicable.
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of the truck.

Qualifications

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for hazmat & tanker operations.
• Proven experience as a delivery driver or truck driver, preferably with at least two years of experience.
• Familiarity with route driving and navigating various road conditions.
• Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently.
• Good communication skills for effective interaction with clients, dispatchers, and team members.
