Join the New Product Introduction team in Burnsville, MN this summer. The Burnsville sensors team works on a vast diversity of avionics sensors that read pressure, temperature, altitude, speed, and more. The application of our sensors applies to the entire aerospace industry including commercial, defense, and space. This manufacturing engineer internship is with our Avionics division. This position may be eligible for relocation. This position is onsite.
What You Will Do: \n - You will collaborate with cross functional teams to develop new processes for new designs.
\n - You will manage the design and manufacturing process for fixturing to support the processes developed.
\n - You will work with a diverse team of senior engineers and learn a lot quickly.

What You Will Learn: \n - You will learn to build hands-on 3D modeling in CREO.
\n - You will strengthen your problem-solving through real engineering work.
\n - You will develop teamwork and collaboration in a cross-functional setting.
\n - You will deepen your understanding of avionics sensors and their aerospace applications.

Qualifications You Must Have: \n - Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
\n - U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer: \n - Displays experience using CAD - Computer Aided Design (Creo).
\n - Proficient knowledge using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).

As part of our commitment to maintaining a secure hiring process, candidates may be asked to attend select steps of the interview process in-person at one of our office locations, regardless of whether the role is designated as on-site, hybrid or remote. The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
