If so, you might make a great Novato Teen Clinic (NTC) Peer Health Promoter!
Peer Health Promoters benefit from the experience by:
- Receiving training on a variety of health topics, as well as experience in Peer Education and Public Speaking
- Gaining community service hours
- Gaining valuable experience to list on their resumes
- Feeling good about helping others
- Active peer health promoters who fulfill all responsibilities will also receive a participation award of $100 every six months
Peer Health Promoter responsibilities include:
- Serving as helpers during Novato Teen Clinic (1-2 times a month)
- Social media outreach and education on human sexuality, wellness, mental health, and more
- Attending evening bi-monthly Peer Health Promoter meetings
- Conducting outreach and teaching other youth about reproductive and mental health and relationships.
- Being the face of the NTC at their schools and at other community groups and speak about the NTC each semester in their schools' health classes.
- Serving for a minimum of one year.

- Los Promotores de Salud activos que cumplan con todas sus responsabilidades tambin recibirn un premio de participacin de $100 cada seis meses.
Las responsabilidades de los Jvenes Promotores de Salud incluyen:
- Servir como ayudantes durante las horas de Novato Teen Clinic (1-2 veces al mes).
- Promover y educar en redes sociales sobre sexualidad, bienestar, salud mental y ms.
- Asistir a reuniones dos veces por mes de Promotores de Salud por la tarde.
- Promover y ensear a otros jvenes sobre salud reproductiva, salud mental y relaciones.
- Representar a NTC en sus escuelas y en otros grupos comunitarios y hablar sobre NTC cada semestre en las clases de salud de sus escuelas.
- Servir por un mnimo de un ao.
Conditions of Hire: - Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 unless granted a medical or religious exemption.
- Pre-employment health exam including proof of vaccinations and TB test clearance.
- Criminal record clearance or exemption from California Department of Social Services. All convictions other than minor traffic violations require an exemption, including convictions that have been expunged.
