The news editor is in charge of processing all incoming content and writing some of the material themselves. They will also liaise with the editorial staff in planning article production and layout, and conduct interviews with subjects of interest. The person may also represent the West Australian Regional Newspapers at public events and build contacts in the local community. The prospect must have worked in an editor role for at least three years.
