Description We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to manage and enhance our organization's network infrastructure in Jacksonville, Florida. This long-term contract position involves ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of our network systems while collaborating with various teams to optimize performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in Cisco environments and a proactive approach to troubleshooting and network design. Responsibilities: Design, configure, and maintain complex network systems, ensuring they meet organizational needs. Administer and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls, including Meraki devices. Implement and maintain network security measures, such as firewall rules and VPN configurations. Monitor network performance and resolve issues to minimize downtime and optimize functionality. Provide advanced network support, including participating in an on-call rotation as needed. Create and update documentation for network configurations, processes, and procedures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support organizational goals and ensure seamless connectivity. Requirements Extensive experience working with Cisco network systems, including routers, switches, and firewalls. Strong knowledge of networking protocols, such as TCP/IP, VLANs, QoS, and other related technologies. Exceptional troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze complex network issues effectively. Capability to work both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment. Industry certifications like CCNA or CCNP are highly desirable.
