Position Title: Military Officer / Tactical Operations Leader (MILDEC Program Specialist)

Position Summary: The Strategy, Plans, Exercises, and Policy Support Services (MILDEC) position supports USCENTCOM in integrating and synchronizing DoD military activities with U.S. Government (USG) strategy. The role involves developing inputs for strategies, campaign plans, and operational concepts, translating strategic objectives into coordinated activities and operations. The successful candidate will collaborate with DoD components, USG agencies, allies, coalition members, and regional partners to ensure alignment with USCENTCOM's theater-level campaign efforts and long-term planning initiatives. 

Essential Functions:

These services are required to support unique JPT/ OPT efforts which may require: 

• Providing support in the drafting, approval, and execution of current MILDEC plans and orders to enhance operational success, reduce U.S. casualties, and prevent loss of equipment. 

• Providing subject matter expertise to USCENTCOM Component Commands for MILDEC planning with specific expertise in MILDEC plan coordination and plan de-confliction. 

• Providing expertise during the assessment of MILDEC operations based upon reviewing Measures of Performance (MOP) and Measures of Effectiveness (MOE) defined in MILDEC plans. 

• Providing support in coordinating with Counterintelligence assets. 

• Providing expertise in the synchronization of MILDEC planned and current operations, activities and investments with Computer Network Operations, Electronic Warfare, operations security (OPSEC), and military information support operations in support of political and military objectives. 

Required Education / Experience / Qualifications: 

• TS/SCI 

• Graduate from the Defense MILDEC Training Course IAW the current CJCSI 3211.01. 

• Graduate of a Service or Joint level MILDEC training course IAW USCENCTOM R-525-3. 

• Minimum of 5 years of MILDEC planning experience. 

• Minimum of 3 years of experience at the Geographic or Functional Combatant Command Headquarters or Service Component headquarters that directly supports a Geographic Combatant Command. 

• Effective understanding and use of the English language, to include clear, effective, and grammatically correct oral and written communication. 

Physical Demands and Work Environment:  

While performing the duties of this position, the IC is regularly required to talk, listen, and write. The IC frequently is required to use foot/ankle motions, hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is required to stand, walk, sit; and reach with hands and arms. The IC must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
