Catholic Central School is seeking a dynamic, faith-filled, and student-centered Middle School Science Teacher to join our dedicated faculty team. This position includes teaching Earth and Space Science, Life Science, and Physical Science to students in grades 6 through 8. The ideal candidate will inspire curiosity, promote academic excellence, and integrate Catholic values into daily instruction while fostering a safe and respectful learning environment.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and age-appropriate science lessons aligned with state standards and diocesan curriculum guidelines.
• Teach and assess content in Earth and Space Science, Life Science, and Physical Science across grades 6–8.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs and styles of all students.
• Integrate hands-on experiments, project-based learning, and technology to enhance student understanding and critical thinking.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding academic and behavioral performance.
• Collaborate with colleagues, administration, and support staff as part of a professional learning community.
• Promote a positive classroom environment rooted in Catholic values, respect, and personal responsibility.
• Participate actively in school-wide activities, liturgies, and faith formation opportunities.
• Uphold and model the mission of Catholic Central School both in and out of the classroom.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science Education or a related field required; Master’s Degree preferred.
• Preferred: Valid state teaching certification in Science or a related subject for grades 6–8 (or eligibility for certification).
• Prior teaching experience in middle school preferred.
• Practicing Catholic in good standing preferred; willingness to support and uphold Catholic teachings and traditions is essential.
• Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
• Enthusiasm for working with middle school students and fostering their intellectual, emotional, and spiritual growth.
