The Gambit Foundry was founded in 2024 with the goal of bringing premium and unique gaming experiences to gamers of all levels of experience. Our first product line, , is gearing up for both a Kickstarter and Digital launch this year to set the stage for rapid growth and expansion.

What You’ll Do

As our first hire, you’ll play a pivotal role in developing and executing marketing strategies while contributing across multiple areas of our business. Your responsibilities will include:

Marketing and Branding:

  • Develop and refine our brand identity to resonate with gamers and enthusiasts.
  • Plan and execute digital marketing campaigns, including advertising, email marketing, and audience engagement.
  • Manage social media platforms (Meta, Discord, and others) to build a vibrant community of fans.
  • Create compelling marketing collateral, including graphics, videos, and written content.

Community Building:

  • Cultivate and manage relationships with our growing player base through Discord, forums, and other community channels.
  • Design and implement strategies to engage influencers, reviewers, and media outlets in the gaming space.
  • Coordinate and attend gaming conventions to showcase our products and build industry connections. (Occasional travel is required)

Project Management:

  • Establish and manage marketing calendars, budgets, and workflows.
  • Track campaign performance and use analytics tools to measure success and optimize future initiatives.

Cross-Functional Contributions:

  • Collaborate on website development to create a seamless, branded user experience.
  • Assist with graphic design for game assets, promotional materials, and visuals for campaigns.
  • Contribute insights to game development and player experience from a marketing perspective.

What We’re Looking For

We’re searching for someone who is passionate about games and thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Our ideal candidate has:

  • Experience in the gaming industry, specifically board games and/or mobile games.
  • 3-5+ years in marketing, with proven skills in branding, digital marketing, and social media management.
  • Familiarity with tools like Meta Business Suite, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), and Google Analytics.
  • Graphic design skills and proficiency with platforms like Canva or Figma.
  • Knowledge of email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp) and community engagement platforms (e.g., Discord, Facebook).
  • A passion for community building and understanding of gamer culture.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A proactive mindset and the ability to adapt to dynamic, ambiguous environments.
  • Bonus: Experience with Kickstarter campaigns, including advertising and page design.

Contract Details

Location : Austin, TX (Remote or Hybrid options available)

Job Type : Contract-to-Hire, half or full-time

Salary : $65,000-$90,000 annualized, full-time, based on experience and qualifications

Duration: This is an initial 6-month contract with the potential to transition into a full-time employee role based on performance and business needs.

Salary Range: $65,000-$90,000 annualized, full-time. The pay range reflects the salary amount the company reasonably expects to pay for the position. It is not a guarantee of actual compensation or a specific payment amount to any candidate. Actual compensation will depend on numerous factors including, without limitation, a particular candidate's experience and qualifications.
