High-Performance Content & Marketing Specialist

Full-Time | On-Site | RISE Calgary Central Sportsplex

Create daily content. Build community. Drive growth. Own the voice of a movement.

The Opportunity

RISE is more than just a basketball facility — it’s a lifestyle, a brand, and a community movement. From youth training (JR.RISE), full-time memberships, elite athletic development, and tournaments — to our EA Sports Lounge, Boom Coffee, and Courtside Cuts — we are building a culture that’s meant to be captured, lived, and shared.

We need a high-performance marketing specialist to create nonstop, high-quality content and transform RISE into a 24/7 content engine — where every story, every training session, and every moment is documented and shared.

You’ll help RISE become a digital portal for community-building, storytelling, sales, and engagement across all platforms.

What You’ll Do

• Create & post content 365 days a year — think of this role like you're running a 24/7 documentary of what RISE is all about
• Build and manage daily content calendars , covering everything from promotions and tournaments to lifestyle moments and behind-the-scenes stories
• Capture high-quality content from our basketball courts, gym, coffee shop, gaming lounge, barbershop, and classrooms — in the building every day
• Maintain a balance of authentic, raw content with polished, high-converting promotional content
• Manage and grow all RISE digital platforms:
• LinkedIn (RISE business + CEO personal)
• Instagram
• TikTok
• YouTube (shorts & long-form series)
• Facebook
• Website (blogs, news, and updates)
• Grow our online community by joining relevant Facebook and LinkedIn groups, actively engaging with local and national sports/fitness discussions, and representing RISE as a thought leader and brand
• Spark and lead comment sections, DMs, story replies, and group chats
• Launch a YouTube Series that captures the heart of the RISE experience
• Edit all content using Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator) with quick turnaround and high visual impact
• Layer videos and images with logos, subtitles, links, hooks, and calls-to-action
• Organize and manage a structured content library and drive folders
• Use Basecamp to communicate with the leadership team, submit reports, and ensure transparency in planning and execution
• Stay on top of trends, algorithms, hashtags, and virality triggers — you must live and breathe social media

Required Experience & Skills

• 5+ years of experience in social media marketing, digital storytelling, and content production
• Proven track record of growing and engaging audiences
• Strong Adobe Creative Suite skills (Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator)
• Experience with AI & automation tools like ChatGPT, CapCut Pro, Descript, Canva Pro
• Familiar with scheduling tools (Later, Hootsuite, Metricool, Buffer)
• Excellent communication and organizational skills (experience with Basecamp is an asset)
• Deep understanding of Instagram Reels, TikTok trends, YouTube algorithms, and LinkedIn culture
• Able to work on-site at RISE Calgary Central Sportsplex daily
• Experience working with youth, sports, fitness, or lifestyle brands is a plus
• A team player who wants to build something bigger than a job

Compensation

• Salary: $65,000 – $85,000 CAD/year
• Bonus structure tied to digital growth, sales impact, and engagement
• Full access to the RISE ecosystem – fitness, basketball courts, coffee lounge, gaming

Growth Opportunity

• Phase 1 (0–6 months): You own everything content, marketing, and community
• Phase 2 (6–12 months): If proven, you hire and lead your first content team
• Phase 3 (12+ months): You scale with us across multiple RISE locations, nationally

Location

This is an on-site position based at RISE Calgary Central Sportsplex . Remote work is not available. You must be in the building to capture the energy, lead the story, and grow the community.
