POSITION SUMMARY: This role collaborates with and supports our media partnerships and sales teams to find and activate buyers through digital, print, television, and radio campaigns. This position leads and supervises the entire marketing department and delivers timely, compelling, and creative content throughout all our channels. This is a broad role perfect for an experienced online and offline marketer who thrives in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment surrounded by team members in every department who work hard and play to win.

Responsibilities

MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY INCLUDE:

  1. Revenue Champion - Oversee the development and execution of lead generation and requalifying programs that deliver qualified leads to meet objectives. In conjunction with others, maintain an optimum inventory level to ensure high occupancy and materialization for guided tours, looking to execute trip fill strategies that maximize returns when results fall short of goal.
  2. Digital - In conjunction with outside website development partners, continue evolving Holiday Vacations website to ensure it remains market-relevant in terms of content, design, and functionality across multiple devices. Work with outside partners to continually add value and new content to Holiday Traveler, our mobile app. Play a leadership role in driving the commercial success of all online initiatives, manage online communities, e-newsletters, e-mail broadcasts and web-based marketing activities. Ensure best practices and continuous improvement: developing web style standards and guidelines; researching new technology options; tracking and measuring site effectiveness. Manage ongoing optimization to ensure best-in-class organic results and execute SEO and SEM/PPC performance consistent with or better than other Xanterra brands. Partner with other executives to provide website competitive analyses, internal needs assessments, and overall recommendations, including the development of business requirements document for a new website.
  3. Print and Other Collateral - Oversee the creation and timely delivery of effective direct marketing programs, annual catalogs, collateral development, and partner brochures. Direct development of design and copy concepts for promotional materials that appeal to target market and supports brand standards.
  4. Campaign Performance Reporting - Maintain comprehensive marketing content calendar, with keen oversight of promotions, content collaboration, proofreading, full spectrum print project management, and file delivery and/or printing. Create, manage, and distribute standardized marketing campaign reports reflecting KPIs and ROI on a variety of traditional and digital marketing initiatives. Extract meaning and suggest alternatives and action items from data, not just report metrics. Actively maintain an annual working marketing budget and produce accurate monthly variance and reforecasting to support all marketing efforts. Communicate and collaborate with Holiday Vacations staff regularly regarding marketing efforts, supplying reports and analytics as necessary or requested to track strategic goal accomplishment.
  5. Brand and Other Management Activities - Establish and maintain a consistent brand image throughout all product lines, promotional materials, and events. Seek opportunities to enhance the companys current and future marketing strategies. Research, analyze, and monitor competitive activity. Evaluate and provide leadership and perspective for adoption of emerging technologies. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Bachelors Degree, preferably in Marketing Communications or related field, experienced in digital and traditional marketing areas with preference for expertise aimed at mature audiences. Excellent and proven commercial and analytical skills with 3+ years of management experience of a functionally diverse team. Equally strong communicator both verbal and written, with the ability to mentor, train, and direct actions of others to gain outcomes that support business objectives. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook with preference for advanced Excel skills using pivot tables, v lookups, macros, Dynamics, Power BI or SmartSheet. Must possess innovative and creative thinking skills to think out of the box with regards to complex solutions, especially with respect to industry and competitive trends. Must be a team player with the ability to work with a multitude of departments and staff members of all levels, including with senior executives internally and with parent company. Requires strong interpersonal skills and ability to problem solve, and work under pressure of immediate deadlines. Must be able to meet deadlines that change frequently, deal effectively with time, pressure, stress and demonstrate a natural curiosity to understand business performance and the why behind results. Experienced with a portfolio showing success managing and executing a wide variety of digital and traditional marketing events and channels. Strong knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics). Proficient in Adobe Create Suite key programs: Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Ability to travel, when needed.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work is preferred to be performed in the corporate headquarters in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Hours of work will generally be during the regular business week. There will be variation in hours due to the time of year and department demands. Travel may be required. Work is performed in an office environment with low to moderate noise level, with occasionally distracting noises i.e., office equipment. Ability to sit for extended periods of time, as well as some walking, bending, twisting, stooping, grasping, reaching, and lifting of light/medium materials up to 50 pounds. Frequent mental and visual concentration is required for computer usage.
