The Position

To provide an engineering student marketable experience related to engineering fundamentals,manufacturing engineering, basic project management, change management, engineering documentation within a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility.

 

Program Start: May 27, 2025.

Program End: August 15, 2025.

Onsite required; hours are Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm

 

Relationships
Reports to the Lead Engineer. Directly supports a business or a function. Contacts are primarily within immediate work unit but may include internal departments, visitors and customers. Build relationships with other participants in the Summer Early Talent Internship Program.

 

 

Essential Functions

  • Assist the Engineering Department by increasing the robustness in internal engineering systems
  • Develop a good understanding of process engineering in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
  • Attend Go-Look-Sees for deviations or issues in manufacturing
  • Work on action items to correct previous deviations from happening again
  • Demonstrates competency in written and oral communications
  • Manages multiple priorities in a complex environment assigned by Lead Engineer or team members
  • Proactively build relationships with stakeholders
  • Utilizes software and/or systems such as (MS Office, SAP, Consur, etc.) specific to the functional area to father and generate basic reports, timelines, tables ,graphs, correspondence and presentations
  • Works on basic departmental projects and updates stakeholders according to plan
  • Performs all job duties, and responsibilites in a compliant and ethical manner and in accordance with all applicable healthcare laws, regulations, and industry codes
  • Incorporate the Novo Nordisk Way and 10 Essentials in all activities and interactions with others
  • Other duties as assigned 

 

Qualifications

  • Must be currently attending an accredited four-year college or university pursing a Bachelor's or Master's degree with a related Engineering major
  • Strong academic record with a preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Experience Level: 0-1 years of relevant experience required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Conscientious self-starter with good organizational skills, project management skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to balance multiple projects and priorities, must be able to multi-task
  • Strong interpersonal communication and ability to collaborate with teams; must effectively operate independently, across functional lines, and with internal customers
  • Demonstrated personal initiative, self-motivation, flexibility, adaptability and willingness to learn
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
