Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to provide direct support to the owner for a wide array of tax, accounting & business services for clients, with a willingness to contribute as needed in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Full-time or part-time schedules and hybrid/remote arrangements are available.

Responsibilities:

  • Review staff-prepared accounting work and tax returns (1120, 1120s, 1065, 1040, 1041)
  • Prepare complex returns, financial reports, and other accounting deliverables
  • Assist clients with planning, projections, and research on various tax matters
  • Manage multiple client projects and deadlines
  • Provide exceptional client service 
  • Contribute to the development of staff and internal processes
  • Work independently or collaboratively based on project needs

Minimum Qualifications

  • CPA or Enrolled Agent designation
  • 5 + consistent years of tax and accounting experience, including planning and preparing projections
  • Extensive experience researching various tax matters
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office; strong general software skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Commitment to a "team-first" environment and willingness to assist wherever needed


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in estate planning and taxation.
  • Experience with Thomson Reuters Tax & Accounting software
  • Solid experience in A/P, A/R, payroll, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
  • Extensive experience with QuickBooks Online and Desktop
  • Experience managing multiple client relationships
