Job Description

Job Purpose:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring all facility equipment operates at peak performance by conducting inspections, performing repairs, and overseeing general upkeep. This role works closely with Plant Managers and the Maintenance Supervisor to identify maintenance needs and support overall facility operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct routine inspections and perform preventive maintenance on electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.Troubleshoot and repair equipment to maintain operational efficiency.Ensure the facility remains clean, organized, and in compliance with safety and hygiene standards.Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and report facility needs to leadership.Adhere to workplace safety policies and promote a safe working environment.Identify and address potential issues proactively to prevent equipment downtime.

Qualifications & Skills:

Proficiency with hand and power tools used in electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic repairs.Strong organizational and time management skills.Effective communication and documentation abilities.Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.Problem-solving mindset with a keen eye for identifying maintenance needs.Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and schedules.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

Exposure to dust, fumes, extreme temperatures, noise, and other industrial conditions.Working around mechanical, electrical, and chemical hazards.Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, and operating power equipment.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.Requires strong hand-eye coordination, depth perception, and attention to detail.Occasional interaction with high-pressure situations requiring focus and problem-solving.Work occurs both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
