WCS Healthcare is urgently seeking a Sterile Processing Tech for a state of the art health care system in Morristown, NJ.

Job Function:

\n

• Day Shift.
\n
• 5x8: 9am - 5:30pm.
\n

• Disassemble, clean, sterilize, reassemble, and package sterile supplies according to specifications and manufacturer instructions.

  \n
\n

• Operate sterilization equipment, including washers, ultrasonic machines, steam and ethylene oxide sterilizers, and heat sealers.

  \n
\n

• Follow department procedures to select appropriate sterilization methods for different types of instruments.

  \n
\n

• Adhere to instrument count sheets for surgical sets and case carts, ensuring accuracy.

  \n
\n

• Retrieve used trays, instruments, and equipment from surgical and clinical areas, inspecting them for cleanliness, proper assembly, and functionality.

Job Requirements:

\n

• 1 year of experience as a Sterile Processing Technician required.
\n

• High School Diploma or GED required.

  \n
\n

• Certification as a Registered Central Sterile Technician (CRCST) or from the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) preferred.

  \n
\n

• Knowledge of aseptic and sterilization techniques, infection control standards, and basic medical/surgical procedure terminology.

  \n
\n
