Description The Department of Political Science has openings for part-time, temporary lecturers (adjuncts) to teach first-year core courses in US and Texas Constitution and Politics and U.S. Government. Successful applicants may also be asked to teach upper-level undergraduate courses in political science, depending on student need and applicants’ expertise. Courses are offered in multiple formats, including lecture courses and online instruction. Interested and qualified candidates are invited to apply. Appointments will be made on a semester-by-semester basis, based on student need. Department: Political Science Salary: 4,500/course The University of Houston is a Carnegie Tier-1 research university with over 600 majors and 75 M.A. and Ph.D. students. The Department of Political Science offers high-quality undergraduate and graduate education, leveraging the city's opportunities for research in politics and demographics.
