Japanese real estate Development / Investment company seeks a Japanese Bilingual Finance/Accounting controller.

Job Title: Japanese Bilingual Finance/Accounting Controller
Location: Orange County/ CA
Working Hours - 9am-6pm, Hybrid
Saraly Range: $130K-$170K DOE

Position Overview:
Japanese real estate development / Investment company seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance/Accounting Controller to oversee and manage all financial aspects of our real estate operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, implementing effective
financial controls, and supporting strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

●Financial Reporting:
・ Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
・ Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other regulatory requirements.
●Budgeting and Forecasting:
・ Develop, manage, and monitor annual budgets and financial forecasts and report to the Finance Dept, Management Control Dept, and Business Promotion Dept in Japan.
・ Analyze variances between actual results and budget, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
●Financial Analysis:
・ Conduct detailed financial analysis to support business decisions and identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement.
・ Prepare financial models and perform scenario analyses for potential real estate investments
●Strategic Planning:
・Develop annual, medium-term, and long-term business plans in collaboration with the executive team.
●Internal Controls:
・ Establish and maintain robust internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
・ Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
●Cash Management:
・ Oversee cash flow management, including monitoring cash balances, forecasting cash requirements, and optimizing cash utilization.
・ Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions.
●Team Leadership:
・ Lead and develop the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
・ Provide guidance and support to team members on complex financial issues.

Qualifications:
・ Bachelorʻs degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or CMA certification required 
・ Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting. Experienced Accounting / Finance Controller with a real estate investing company is a big plus.
・ Strong knowledge of real estate financial practices, including property accounting and investment analysis are preferred.
・ Proficiency in financial software and systems, such as QuickBooks, Excel or similar platforms.
・ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
・ Strong leadership and communication abilities, with a track record of successfully managing teams.
・Proficiency in both Japanese and English, including business-level reading, writing, and speaking skills, is required.
