Our client is a leading freight forwarding company specializing in air, ocean, and ground transportation services. They provide comprehensive logistics solutions to clients, ensuring the efficient movement of goods across the globe. We are currently seeking a skilled and dynamic Import/Export Logistics Coordinator to join their growing team.

Job Overview:

The Import/Export Logistics Coordinator will manage the coordination of freight shipments across air, ocean, and ground transportation. This position requires frequent communication with clients to ensure that shipments are delivered on time and in compliance with all regulations. The ideal candidate must be proficient in using Magaya software for tracking and managing logistics operations and must be fluent in both English and Spanish.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate Shipments: Plan and manage shipments via air, ocean, and ground transportation to ensure timely delivery.
  • Client Liaison: Communicate regularly with clients in both English and Spanish, providing updates on shipment status and addressing concerns or issues that arise.
  • Documentation Management: Prepare and maintain accurate documentation related to shipments, including bills of lading, customs declarations, and import/export permits.
  • Compliance & Regulations: Ensure all shipments comply with international trade laws, customs regulations, and local transportation requirements.
  • System Management: Utilize Magaya software to input and track shipment details, manage inventory, and generate reports.
  • Problem Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to freight, including delays, damages, or lost shipments.
  • Collaborate with Team: Work closely with the warehouse, customs brokers, and other internal teams to ensure smooth transportation and delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years in logistics coordination (import/export) or freight forwarding, with experience in air and ocean.
  • Software Skills: P roficient in Magaya software (Preferred)
  • Languages: MUST be bilingual in English and Spanish (both written and verbal).
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of international trade, customs regulations, and logistics.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Problem Solving: Strong organizational and problem-solving skills to address logistics challenges.
