What You Will Do: As a Graphic Designer for Vendetta Sports Media, you will help with specific designs that will continue the branding of the company. We have graphic designs for the fantasy football show, our podcasts, and merchandise. However, we are looking to improve and expand on these designs. It is necessary to know how to use graphic design programs (i.e. InDesign, Photoshop, etc.). With this internship, you will be asked to create different designs for different projects, as well as helping design some images for articles. You are still highly encouraged to try other aspects of journalism while you are with Vendetta Sports Media. Other beats you can try include podcasting, video, writing, etc. However, your primary work will be graphic design assignments. Learning Objective: While you are with Vendetta Sports Media, we want you to learn how to do graphic designs for a specific company that will help expand the brand. This is a place where you can let your creativity flow and try new design projects. This is an independent position; however, you will be expected to pitch your graphic design ideas to your supervisor. You will also be able to learn how to coordinate with other team members effectively. Qualifications: We are looking for ambitious candidates who are able to self-start articles or projects and have the ability to meet deadlines. Works well with others and possesses strong communication skills. Has a keen sense of grammar, language, and spelling. Is able to promote the Vendetta Sports Media work of yourself and others on social media. Is currently enrolled in an undergraduate program pursuing English, Journalism, Mass Media, or a similar field. Recommended Skills: Familiar with WordPress and can understand/learn SEO optimization.
