The Role The Digital Product team leads the product strategy, delivery and operations for Wyndham Hotels & Resorts’ Digital Channels including the brand websites, mobile app, loyalty, franchise administration (Wyndham Community) and customer relationship management (CRM) solutions. The team works closely with the business and IT teams to evolve business needs across the globe into technology solutions that are delivered through the IT Roadmap. The Front-end Web Developer will collaborate with back-end developers, architect and develop client-side of business to customer (B2C) and business to business (B2B) web applications. The Front-end Web Developer's skills will include empathy, vision, communication, decision-making, and stakeholder management; strategic skills include product discovery; tactical skills including product backlog prioritization and management, personas, user stories, and product validation techniques. Core to the position is solid technical understanding to be an integral part of a highly performant multi-technology and multi-vendor development/support team. What you'll do Architect client-side of Business to Customer (B2C) and Business to Business (B2B) web applications. Design, build and maintain web applications front-end. Improve usability and optimize web applications. Monitor and report out on marketing technology operational health. Plan, create and execute web application roadmaps. Presentation development and facilitation for business and IT teams. Collaborate with the business and IT teams to evolve business needs. Provide technology solutions and translate marketing and website need into front-end design recommendations and solutions to meet project goals. Investigate and stay current on important new technologies related to digital marketing, to help push processes and techniques forward. Ensure governance practices are in place for global implementations. Use Agile SCRUM to create solutions with high level of flexibility and adaptability. You'll be successful if you have Experience with digital commerce and or online retail. Ability to work on complex projects. Must be able to communicate effectively and build solid relationships with individuals at all levels, in multiple geographies and business functions. Excellent oral and written communication skills and exceptional interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate decisions and recommendations to senior leadership in a clear and concise manner. Demonstrated ability to work under pressure. Required Qualifications/Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent. Experience with REACT, Vue, Angular, Backbone is a plus. 2+ years of experience architecting front-end for B2C web applications. Ability to identify front-end frameworks for use with Adobe Experience Manager-built website is a plus. 2+ years’ experience with Mobile and Responsive Design/Development. 1+ year of hands-on experience in optimizing page speed of B2C websites. Knowledge of optimization tools such as Google PageSpeed, DataDog is a plus. 1+ year experience building UI components for Adobe Experience Manager-built responsive website solutions. Experience with UI/UX design is a plus. Experience with continuous integration and related development tools like Jenkins, Maven, GitHub, WebPack, Rollup, etc. Experience with decoupled architectures and setting up dedicated environments (development, QA). Excellent problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to identify issues, solve them quickly and well, and know when to rely on internal resources to assist. Knowledge of current digital marketing trends and best practices on topics such as personalization, cross channel marketing, mobile, data driven optimization of experiences.
