Summary Growing food manufacturing facility is seeking an experienced Manufacturing /Production Supervisor to oversee all manufacturing and distribution processes. This key management role ensures food safety compliance, maintains customer satisfaction, and drives continuous improvement to improve the bottom line. The Director of Operations will supervise the production team, manage inventory, and ensure all food safety regulations are followed. Key Responsibilities Supervise and manage production staff, including hiring, training, coaching, and discipline. Collaborate with purchasing to ensure adequate inventory of raw materials, packaging supplies, and finished products. Plan and schedule production to meet delivery deadlines and customer satisfaction. Ensure compliance with company policies, GMP standards, and food safety regulations. Maintain equipment and facility cleanliness through preventive maintenance and sanitation. Minimize backorders and ensure timely deliveries within promised windows. Work closely with Quality Assurance to resolve non-conformances and corrective actions. Manage production of labels and special shipping instructions. Oversee scheduling, inventory, and materials control. Ensure all HACCP, SQF, and food safety policies are adhered to. Assist in food safety training and continuous improvement of the plant’s systems and quality programs. Maintain a positive and efficient work environment while addressing cost reduction needs. Qualifications BS/BA degree or high school diploma with at least 5 years of experience in production, quality, and materials management. Knowledge of food safety, HACCP, GMP, and SQF standards. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus. Computer proficiency required.
