Summary:

Great opportunity for an entry level or experienced Estate Planning Paralegal to join our team and support the Estate Planning firm based in Annapolis, MD. In this role, you will effectively support attorneys and the lead paralegal on a wide range of administrative tasks related to wills, trusts and other estate planning matters. The ideal candidate should be able to work well independently and as part of a team, take initiative as needed, and have strong organizational skills.

Job responsibilities:

· Assist attorneys and the lead paralegal in administrative tasks related to estate planning.

· Prepare documents relating to the identification, collection and valuation of assets.

· Draft, read, and interpret legal documents.

· Prepare all files/documents for Signings.

· Meet and communicate directly with clients on estate planning matters.

· Communicate with clients, financial institutions, and other third parties.

· Embracing opportunities for personal and professional growth.

· Be a team player with a positive attitude and ability to communicate/meet with clients and other professionals to create an excellent client experience.

· Be hard working and detail-oriented in researching issues and engaging in asset gathering to provide legal support.

· Participate in team meetings, where you’ll be asked for your input on projects, client status, and law firm operations/procedures.

· Complete other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

· Paralegal certificate from an ABA accredited program preferred, or previous estate administration experience.

· Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment driven by multiple deadlines.

· Strong written and oral communication skills.

· Ability to manage multiple tasks independently while maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.

· Positive, highly responsive and professional attitude.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel.

Compensation depends upon experience – prior law firm background or banking/finance/tax is beneficial. Our regular office hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30 am – 5:00 pm. We are fully in person – this is not a hybrid or remote position.
