Job Overview
We are looking to hire an Paralegal or Legal Secretary with some legal experience to assist with the heavy workload of two attorneys in the areas of estate planning, probate, and family law and work directly with other paralegals in our office.
Responsibilities for Paralegal/ Legal Secretary
• File, organize, scan, copy documents
• Accurately e-file documents with the Court ahead of deadlines
• Light answering of phone calls, take notes/messages and redirect calls when appropriate
• Calendar court hearings, deadlines, depositions, and other meetings
• Create Excel spreadsheets/schedules/exhibits
Qualifications for Paralegal/Legal Secretary
• Some familiarity with legal documents and terminology
• Working knowledge of WordPerfect, Microsoft Excel
• Strong writing skills a plus
• Able to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines
• Able to work as a team with attorneys and other colleagues
• Demonstrate a courteous and professional demeanor
*Pay commensurate with experience.
