My Client is a growing, well-established multidiscipline engineering firm seeking a Director of Land Surveying Department. Responsibilities include: Managing and scheduling all survey field crews Proposal and contract preparation and review Performance of ALTA/NSPS land title surveys Boundary determination and computation Construction stakeout Topographic and hydro surveys Metes and bounds descriptions Qualified Candidates should have: Must be a registered Professional Land Surveyor in Maryland The Director will be starting a new department from the ground up At least 15 years of experience running a department, bringing in new work, participating in business development, and managing a full staff of field crews Experience working for Maryland DOT, VDOT, DDOT, and other DMV area counties and municipalities BS degree in Land Survey or a related college degree preferred Ability to analyze and process boundary and ALTA surveys and prepare legal descriptions Proficiency with RTK GPS and Robotic Total Stations Must have proficiency with MicroStation Great opportunity to work on major projects!
