InGenesis is seeking a Dental Assistant to work with our client. In this role, you will perform a variety of dental assisting duties while promoting a safe and clean environment for quality dental care.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Assists the dentist during a variety of examinations and treatment procedures: instrument transfer, dental procedure isolation techniques, and preparation of dental materials.
• Prepares treatment rooms, instruments, and cassettes for procedures.
• Records medical and dental history and vital signs of patients.
• Records visit information in the electronic patient record (QSI).
• Pours, trims, and polishes study casts; fabricates custom impression trays from preliminary impressions, cleans and polishes removable appliances, and fabricates temporary restorations.
• Provides patients with instructions for oral care following dental treatment procedures, such as the placement of a restoration (filling).
• Prepares and maintains dental instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Digital dental radiographs (x-rays) and dental photographs
• Serves as an infection control officer, follows infection control protocols, and sterilizes and disinfects instruments and equipment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• X-ray license.
• Proficient with dental software programs, including but not limited to QSI and NextGen.
• Current CPR/BLS training.
• Bilingual.

Physical Demands:

• Required to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
• Required to grasp, move, or assemble very small objects.
• Must be able to make fast, repeated movements of fingers, hands, and wrists.
• Must be able to bend or twist their body for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to make quick, precise adjustments to machine controls.
• Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to coordinate movement of several parts of the body, such as arms and legs, while the body is moving.
• Must be able to lift, push, and carry 35 pounds.
• Must be able to see details at a close range.

This position is dependent on contract award.
