Job Description

DC Shipping Processor

Salary Range USD $23.00/Hr.

Overview

Job Summary

The DC Shipping Processor is responsible for the timely and accurate shipment of company-wide orders from the DC, and assists with receiving incoming cross-dock goods assuring they are processed accurately.

Responsibilities
  • Overseeing the shipping process of bulk, vitamin, grocery, and cross-dock orders from the DC to stores
  • Working with managers and DC staff to maintain shipping accuracy
  • Preparing, wrapping and organizing pallets for shipping on a daily basis
  • Preparing bills of lading for carriers
  • Completing and filing of company shipping logs
  • Accurate and timely notification to cross-dock vendors for pallet pick up
  • Assisting with the hotline flyer distribution once per month
  • Assisting with loading trucks for deliveries of outlying stores
  • Receiving cross-dock products as needed
  • Helping in the bulk department as needed
  • Keeping the dock area clean and organized

Qualifications

Strong understanding of warehouse functions with previous experience

Must have current valid Colorado driver license

Ability to read, write and speak English clearly and concisely

Experienced forklift operation required (must be certified) includes electric pallet jack

Strong time management skills

Ability to multi-task, with strong attention to detail; accuracy and thoroughness is a must

Flexibility with working hours to accommodate warehouse needs

Able to work both independently and as a team player

Able to effectively communicate

Able to assist in other departments as needed

Physical Requirements

Must have the ability to lift 70 lbs, repetitive lifting up to 50 lbs.

Must be able to carry up to 50 lbs.

Requires the use of both arms and both hands with full range of motion

Must be able to bend at the waist and knees, twist, push and pull on an occasional basis

Must be able to kneel, squat, and climb as needed

Must be able to reach overhead and away from the body

Must be able to walk and stand for at least 90% of the time

Physical Requirements:

  • Must have the ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Must have the ability to occasionally push or pull up to 30 lbs.
  • Must be able to constantly use the computer for data entry and use of mouse.
  • Must be able to constantly sit, use fine motor manipulations, and reach outward for the duration of the work shift.
  • Must be able to frequently grip, bend, twist, and turn.
  • Must be able to occasionally walk, stand, squat, kneel, and reach above chest as needed.

Environmental Requirements:

  • Must be able to work occasionally with cold, heat, sharp tools and equipment, noise, contact stress, dust, fumes, and congested worksite.
