Job Title: Data Science and Analytics Specialist

Hybrid role - 3 days in Dallas office

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled data science professional who excels at working across diverse business sectors to design, build, and activate innovative data-driven insights. The successful candidate will be adept at gathering, analyzing, and interpreting large data sets to improve operational efficiencies across various business processes. A solid foundation in statistical modeling, data mining, machine learning, and data warehousing is essential for this role.

Role Description:
The primary focus of this position is to help the organization analyze and understand production patterns, and enhance the overall output of our products and services. This individual will oversee data collection, storage, and interpretation to streamline production operations. Responsibilities include organizing data points into actionable insights, comparing them to existing workflows, and generating reports that offer predictive forecasts on demand and output. Leveraging data science techniques, this role will support just-in-time (JIT) manufacturing practices, ensuring that customer needs are met with precision and efficiency through effective supply chain management.

The position involves using an Operational Data Store (ODS) to monitor production metrics, such as throughput, quality, and operational efficiency. It also entails tracking equipment performance, maintenance, and other production processes to identify trends and drive improvements. By applying machine learning and data analytics, this role will focus on making data-informed predictions to enhance future business performance and implement advanced technologies, including AI, to optimize production systems.

Core Responsibilities:

• Develop predictive models utilizing machine learning to enhance production processes and minimize inefficiencies.
• Analyze complex data sets to uncover trends and generate actionable insights for business decision-makers.
• Collaborate with various teams to identify inefficiencies and create data-driven solutions that enhance production.
• Manage and maintain data pipelines from multiple sources, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
• Continuously test and experiment with data to drive performance improvements across production processes.
• Keep current with advancements in data science, adopting new technologies to leverage data for organizational improvements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
• Master’s degree in Data Science, Informatics, or a similar field is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in data science or related analytics fields.
• Proficiency with programming languages like Python, R, SQL, and SAS for data manipulation and analysis.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI).
• Strong understanding of machine learning techniques such as clustering, regression, classification, and neural networks.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and capability to work autonomously or within collaborative teams.
• Ability to convey complex data insights in a simple, actionable format to non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with best practices in data governance, data quality, and data management.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
• Knowledge of the healthcare and financial industries is advantageous.
• Experience working in the Manufacturing industry a must as a Data Scientist
