Job Details:
We are a well-established, family-owned and operated specialty food business in New York on the Upper East Side. We're looking for an experienced Permanent Controller to join our team. This role provides a unique opportunity to take part in the strategic financial decision-making process, influence the financial growth, and contribute to the overall success of our organization.
The ideal candidate should have a solid background in retail food. Supermarkets, hospitality, etc. We make all of our own food, and have over 700 products in our line. This person will be working on the upper east side also.
Responsibilities:
1. Overseeing all financial operations
2. Developing and implementing financial strategies and systems that align with company's goals.
3. Managing and supervising accounting department activities and staff to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
4. Preparing and presenting financial reports to the management team, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
5. Analyzing financial data and identifying cost reduction opportunities.

Job Details
Qualifications:
Accounting experience in food. CPA is NOT necessary for this position.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
