The Role: Chief Financial Officer
Location: Hybrid Dallas, TX

The Role

Our client is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) who will be a strategic partner to the CEO and a driving force behind organizational growth and operational excellence. The CFO will have direct, regular interaction with the board of directors and will be responsible for overseeing finance, analytics, and FP&A as well as supporting key operational initiatives.

A major focus for the new CFO will be to build and refine our clients FP&A function, ensuring accurate forecasting, data-driven decision-making, and sustained profitability. The CFO will also be leaned upon to strengthen analytics, improving operational efficiency, and optimizing the subscription model to maximize free cash flow.

Responsibilities

Working closely with the CEO and having regular interaction with the board of directors, the new CFO will focus on driving operational efficiency to maximize the companys profitability and cash dividends and identifying avenues for revenue growth. They will lead the finance team and work with other senior leaders to:

• Lead the financial operations, including budgeting, cash management, and reporting.
• Enhance the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) function to provide management insights, from balanced forecast projections to what-if analyses.
• Lead the analytics team responsible for offer testing and business case development.
• Work closely with the accounting and tax teams to continue to perform at a high level.
• Meet or exceed clear metrics and targets approved by the board.
• Prioritize projects to maximize the return on investment through customer acquisition, new products or new sales channels.
• Maximize operating efficiencies and free cash flow.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Finance and Accounting leadership with a heavy focus on FP&A and a strong operational financial background. Candidate is either already a CFO, or demonstrably ready to take that next step in their career.
• Previous experience working in a subscription based company with either a consumer or small business based focus is most ideal.
• Demonstrated knowledge of recurring revenue, credit, and consumer online membership.
• Demonstrated experience with partnership with Executive and Board Leadership to drive growth and initiatives.
• Within a half a days commute to Dallas, for infrequent meetings with notice.
