Job Description
We are seeking a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant to become a part of The Epec Clinic! You will perform routine administrative and clinical assignments to keep the medical facility running smoothly, as a team and independently. This canidate must be reliable and can commute to both locations (Rosedale and Dundalk). Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm.
Patient intake Duties:
Greeting patients
Recording patient demographics and insurance information
Add their pharmacy/Pcare/Specialty
Obtain their medical history
Verifying patient allergies and medications
Clinical Duties:
Checking the temperature on the fridge & documenting on Temperature Log (Office Assistant can assist)
Taking vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration rate,O2)
Measuring height and weight
Preparing patients for examinations
Preparing rooms for injections/paps and ect…
Assisting the provider during exam (If needed)
Collecting specimens (blood & urine) for laboratory tests
Administrative Tasks:
Scheduling appointments
Managing patient records
Updating patient information in electronic health records (EHR)
Prior Authorizations-For imaging- Back up for Administrative Assistant
Ordering Injections-Back up for Administrative Assistant
Completing lab order forms- In case portals are down
Answering phone calls and managing patient inquiries
Fax, print, copy and ect...
Other Responsibilities:
Maintaining inventory of medical supplies
Cleaning and restocking exam rooms
Educating patients on Narcan kit, medication lock boxes and ect..
Communicating with other healthcare providers regarding patient care
Communicating with Labs (Labcorp/Quest and ect…)
Understanding other tasks may be added as we grow and extend more services.
Qualifications:
Certified Medical Assistant
Previous experience in healthcare administration or other related fields
Experience Injections/drawing blood/EKG
Familiarity with Health insurances
Strong organizational skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Bilingual(Spanish speaking) is a plus but not required
Pay: $20-$24
