Job Description

JLM HR Consulting is a women-owned business located in Montgomery County, MD. Since 2011 we have been serving clients throughout the United States with stellar HR services and support. We are pleased to announce that we have a great internship opportunity starting early January 2025. The internship will be part-time. You can expect to work up to 20 hours per week. The internship has the potential to last for 6 months.

As a Business Analyst intern, you will conduct research, gather data and identify trends in HR automation. JLM is interested in providing automated or on-demand HR services to our clients and we need to understand the landscape of that marketplace. You will also assist our business development manager with developing client surveys regarding their future HR needs along with evaluating current service offerings by our clients as well as client satisfaction.

You can expect to work on other research and data analysis projects related to HR trends and best practices that our company can potentially adopt as part of our consulting practice programs and processes.

You will participate in regular team meetings and provide updates on your projects.

Projects:

• Assisting the team with fully utilizing JLM's project management tool – Click-Up. This may include conducting meetings with team members as well as providing training on the most efficient and effective ways of using the tool.
• Analyzing Data from Surveys 
• Analyzing Functionality of Breezy HR Applicant Tracking System (ATS) 
  • Creating reports for recruiting metrics.
  • Creating data visualization for various project related reports 

• SharePoint File Organization

• Conducting research on HR automation Trends! 
  • What potential new services can we offer to our clients?

• Exploring the creation of an App

• Exploring website automations or tools to enhance JLM's presence on the web and ensuring clients and perspective clients have a good experience when visiting our website.

The JLM teams works in a highly collaborative environment. You may be required to work in our office located in Gaithersburg 1 day per week.

Requirements

• A Maryland based student currently pursuing a Data Science, IT or related degree.
• Must have completed two or more years of college, and currently attending or a recent graduate of a Maryland College or University.
• Must have strong attention to detail. 
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision. 
• Must be familiar with Microsoft Office.
• Must also be well versed in Excel and be able to create pivot tables
• Knowledge of Survey Monkey, Project Managment tools strongly desired.
