****Job Summary****

**UPDATE: 12/9/21**

This position represents a dual-level posting and will be filled as an Associate Parking Enforcement Attendant or next highest level. The hiring manager will determine the job level based on the skills, experience, and qualifications of the selected candidate.

In this position the success Associate Parking Enforcement Officer will enforce University Parking Rules & Regulations by patrolling assigned area and utilizing License Plate Recognition equipment. Issue citations for parking violations using handheld devices with printers. Arrange for towing of vehicles and apply immobilization devices when applicable. Provide campus directions and information regarding parking on campus. Assist with operational issues with the gated garage equipment.

****Associate Parking Enforcement Attendant (EVENING)****

**Required:**

* High school diploma/GED

* Good verbal communication skills

* Ability to use sound judgment and work independently

* Ability to use, maintain, troubleshoot and correct equipment

* Ability to work outdoors in all seasons in temperatures below 32 degrees and above 90 degrees

* A valid US or Canadian drivers license; must maintain a safe driving record

**Preferred:**

* Knowledge of campus

****Parking Enforcement Attendant (EVENING)****

Enforce University parking rules and regulations. Patrol assigned areas on foot and by vehicle. Answer questions regarding parking. Provide directions to parking areas and campus buildings. Issue tickets for parking violations, arrange for vehicle towing, and immobilize vehicles on tow list or with invalid permits and remove wheel locks. Use handhelds and printers to issue citations and maintain equipment. Use radio for daily communication. Assist with meter monies collection as needed. Perform annual parking inventory survey. Assist with operational issues at the Grant Street Garage.

**Required:**

* High school diploma/GED

* Three years work experience with two years of experience directly related to parking operations and one year customer service experience

* Knowledge of University Parking and Traffic Regulations

* Good verbal and written communication skills

* Ability to use sound judgment and work independently

* Ability to use, maintain, troubleshoot and correct equipment

* Must possess a learning orientation to changing technology

* Ability to use computer programs such as Microsoft Word and Outlook

* Ability to lift and carry 10 to 25 lbs. frequently, and up to 40 lbs. occasionally

* Ability to work outdoors in all seasons in temperatures below 32 degrees and above 90 degrees.

* A valid US or Canadian drivers license

* Must maintain a safe driving record

**Preferred:**

* Knowledge of campus
