Description:
The Columbian, a family-owned daily newspaper serving Southwest Washington, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Production Coordinator. This role supports the production and advertising teams by managing administrative processes, coordinating with outside advertisers, and ensuring smooth operations related to commercial printing and advertising insert delivery.
Key Responsibilities
· Receive, log, and schedule incoming advertising inserts for publication.
· Communicate with outside advertisers, agencies, and vendors to confirm delivery deadlines and specifications.
· Prepare and process billing for commercial print customers, ensuring accuracy and timely invoicing.
· Track newsprint usage and inventory, providing reports to management as needed.
· Maintain records of advertising insert activity, commercial print jobs, and vendor communications.
· Serve as a liaison between production, advertising, and pressroom departments to support scheduling and deadlines.
· Assist with other administrative and production-related tasks as assigned.

Requirements:· 2+ years of experience in an administrative, production, or coordination role (newspaper or print industry experience preferred).
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional customer service approach.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); familiarity with billing or production tracking systems a plus.
· High attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and billing.
