Job Title:  Accounting Clerk Reports To: VP of Finance

We’re looking for an energetic and detail-oriented recent graduate or entry-level candidate to join our accounting team. This role is ideal for someone eager to learn and grow in a supportive environment while gaining hands-on experience in core accounting functions.

Key duties and responsibilities include:

· Perform back-up duties and responsibilities for our AP and AR coordinators.

· Data Entry for accounting activities.

· Support invoice processing, payment tracking

· Process & apply payments from customers to appropriate accounts.

· Respond to customer inquiries, investigate, and resolve any discrepancies on a timely basis.

· Process cheque runs and wire payments as required.

· Communicate with internal teams and external vendors as needed

· Maintain accurate vendor files and records.

· Maintain all accounts files, ensure proper and complete documentation is retained.

· Maintain positive business relationships with vendors.

· Perform general administrative duties to support the accounting department

· Assist with other department activities as requested.

· Support other accounting tasks as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Accounting or Business Diploma/Degree from a University or College.

· Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

· Strong problem-solving ability

· Ability to work effectively and manage deadlines in a fast-paced business environment

· Proficient with all Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel

· Knowledge of basic AR/AP process is considered a bonus!
