Accounting Assistant

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. This is a contract position ideal for an organized individual with a strong background in accounting and administrative tasks. The role offers the opportunity to work in a small office environment with significant earning potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Enter customer orders into the system accurately and efficiently, with training provided on the specific platform.
  • Process invoices and manage billing activities to ensure timely and precise transactions.
  • Conduct accounts receivable tasks, including tracking and reconciling payments.
  • Perform purchasing-related activities to support the offices operations.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records by organizing and filing documents, which may involve physical tasks such as bending or using step stools.
  • Collaborate with the warehouse team, requiring periodic trips to the warehouse for inventory or document management.
  • Assist in managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced office setting.
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail in all aspects of daily work.
  • Support the team by providing general administrative and clerical assistance as needed.
  • Requirements:

    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting or administrative role.
    • Proficiency in handling accounts receivable and high-volume invoicing.
    • Familiarity with order entry systems; training will be provided for specific platforms.
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple priorities.
    • Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, walking to the warehouse, and using step stools for filing purposes.
    • Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all tasks.
    • Comfortable working in a small office environment with a collaborative team.
    • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues and clients.
