Job Description

This range is provided by Museum of Illusions. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more. Base pay range $45,000.00/yr - $65,000.00/yr Additional compensation types Annual Bonus Candidate Profile and Focus The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, be proficient in data entry and have experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar programs. The ability to multitask and manage time effectively is crucial for success in this role. Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, journals, receipts, and invoices. Complete month-end closing tasks in coordination with the Controller. Process invoices and reconcile bank transactions in QuickBooks. Perform monthly reconciliations for accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll. Research and assist with setup of new museums (Business Licenses, Sales Tax, Property Tax, local and state tax requirements, etc.) Reconcile Workday payroll reports and ADP payments with bank activity to ensure accuracy and compliance. Ensure compliance with payroll and sales tax regulations; file returns as required. Review company credit card transactions for policy compliance. Process credit applications and support annual audit preparation. Uphold internal accounting procedures and perform additional administrative tasks as needed. Qualifications Associate’s degree in accounting or a related field, or two years of accounting experience in lieu of degree. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team and meet deadlines. QuickBooks and NetSuite experience is a strong preference. Base pay range $45,000–65,000 commensurate with experience. Quarterly bonus opportunity based on company EBITDA achievement. Must be able to use sight to detect, determine, perceive, observe, inspect, and assess situations.
