Job Description

A part-time licensed practical nurse (LPN/LVN) or registered nurse (RN) with school nursing experience is sought for a specialized 1:1 bus riding position serving 7th-grade students. This role involves providing medical monitoring and support during transportation, ensuring student safety along the route from Harvard to Norwood and back.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care onboard during morning (7:45 am10:30 am) and/or afternoon (2:30 pm4:45 pm) bus rides
• Monitor students for seizures and manage medical needs during transport
• Collaborate with school personnel and parents to maintain student health and safety
• Maintain accurate documentation of medical observations and interventions
• Respond promptly to any health emergencies during the bus route

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current LPN/LVN or RN license
• Experience in school nursing or pediatric nursing preferred
• Training or experience in seizure monitoring and response is essential
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently on the bus
• Flexibility to cover one or both shifts; district open to splitting shifts between two nurses

• Middle school transportation route between Harvard, MA and Norwood, MA
