Appointment Type: Temporary Exempt (TEX) position is excluded from the competitive Civil Service examination process.

Position Overview

San Francisco International Airport (SFO) is offering a summer internship for college students or recent graduates passionate about information technology, telecommunications, and related areas. Successful candidates will join the Information Technology Training and Technology (ITT) team and gain handson experience and mentorship across a variety of technical domains that support SFOs mission of delivering an excellent airport experience while prioritizing safety and security.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the design, development, and deployment of low/nocode solutions on the PowerApps platform to improve airport enterprise tools.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for optimizing existing workflows through data analysis and reporting.
• Support the CDTOs industry relations, budgeting, and hiring efforts for the ITT program.
• Participate in cybersecurity initiatives, ensuring compliance with NIST, DHS/TSA, and other regulatory frameworks.
• Contribute to the IT Project Management and Delivery departments project planning, scheduling, and resource estimation activities.

Education & Experience Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelors or masters program in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Architecture, Computer Science, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field.
• Returning to a graduate program or completing a bachelors program by fall2025.
• Eligible for secondtolast or final semester students who will graduate within six months of internship start.
• No prior work experience required; internships or coursework may be used to determine the appropriate trainee classification.
