Money Toolbox

Future Front Page

Money Toolbox is not a blog. It’s a resource. It’s quite literally a toolbox to help you — and everyone else — become better at managing money.

My name is J.D. Roth, and I’ve been writing about money since April 2006. In fact, I continue to write about money at Get Rich Slowly (which is a blog). I’ve written books about money, created courses about money, given presentations about money, and — often — met with people one-on-one to talk about money.

Money Toolbox collects all of the practical information I’ve learned during my career as a money writer. I believe that everything here is useful and correct. I’m only human, though, so there may be mistakes. If you find an error, please let me know.

There are no display ads on this site, and I won’t ask you for your email address. I’ve tried to keep the design and presentation minimal so that it won’t get in the way of the tools I provide.

In order to pay my expenses (and to compensate me for my effort), some links from Money Toolbox can create income for me — at no cost to you. When I link to books, for instance, I use Amazon’s affiliate program, which puts a few pennies in my pocket if you make a purchase.

All such affiliate links are clearly identified with the #aff hashtag. In every case, I’ve based my recommendations on what is best for you, not on what will earn me the most money. (I’m fortunate to already have enough saved to retire.)

Where should you start? It depends on what brought you here.

I hope that Money Toolbox proves useful to you. If you know of any other tools that I should include, please drop me a line. Thanks!
